C-13 pensioon info
On March 26, the Minnesota Senate unanimously passed SF 2620, the bipartisan 2018 Omnibus Pension Bill. After three years of tough negotiations, the Senate passed a bill that we can, and do, support.
Now, the challenge is to get the Minnesota House of Representatives to pass the bill without any changes. On April 1, the StarTribunepublished an editorial urging the House to pass the bill that passed the Senate.
That simply won't happen if your state representative doesn't hear from you -- and from each and every active and retired public employee in their district.
Together, we must convince our  State Representatives to pass the pension bill, SF 2620. This is where you play a vital role! Please contact your Minnesota State Representative and ask him/her to vote yes on SF 2620, the pension bill, as introduced with no changes.
With your support, the Committee of Thirteen has been a leader in the effort to secure pension funding and sustainability. Today, we are asking you to help pass the pension bill that all Minnesota's pension plans support. Contact your State Representative -- call their office, email them, write them a postcard or visit them in person.
Ask them to support SF 2620 as it was introduced, without any changes. Tell them that the bill will strengthen Minnesota's pension funds. Let them know that the Senate passed  SF 2620 unanimously.
Please act quickly, the Legislature is scheduled to adjourn on May 21. If you know your State Representative's name, you can find their contact information here. If you want to find out who your representative is start here.
Please reply to this email after you've contacted your State Representative.
